Methane is excited to start announcing shows for 2023. We just released our new album “Kill it With Fire” and now its time to headback out on the road and break some necks. Our first gigs of the year will be supporting our friends Nervosa along with Frantic Amber on Nervosa’s “Northern Tour”. Methane and Frantic Amber will only be playing 2 nights here in Sweden, on Wednesday, April 5 @Platens in Linköping and Friday, April 7 @Broken Dreams in Borlänge. Sweden’s Methane delivers a high powered no nonsense thrash metal album. The band’s second album has been long awaited after the debut “The Devil’s Own” released 2017. The new album, released on Friday, January 27 can be streamed on all digital music providers and is also available on vinyl and CD from Bandcamp.

Kill It With Fire is a searing 7 song album, just enough to leave you wanting more. The album in the veins of Slayer and Kreator, combines an old school thrash metal vibe with a new fresh production that gets straight to the point. The band blends in a bit of groove metal and New York Hardcore to round off its unapologetic sound, filled with mosh pit provoking riffs. The album also features a special guest solo from CJ. Scioscia from legendary thrash metal band Blood Feast on track #5 A Blood Red Sky.

A music video for track #4 Shock and Awe is now streaming on Youtube. The video is on the same wavelength as the album. No glitz, no glam just underground headspinning thrash.

Swedish thrashers, Methane share new music video and digital released single for “Shock and Awe” as a warm up to the bands January 27th album release of Kill It With Fire. Shock and Awe is a new thrashmetal stomper with an old school Bay Area vibe. Its no frills, headfirst video was filmed in Karlstad, Sweden by Erik Hansen from EH Digital, who previously directed the band’s video for ‘Thin the Herd’.

Kill it With Fire will be the bands second album which shows a clear development in the bands music writing smoving tword a heavier more relentless thrash style. Featured on the album is a collaboration with CJ Scioscia of legendary New Jersey based Blood Feast who lends a tasty solo to “A Blood Red Sky“.
