Methane is excited to start announcing shows for 2023. We just released our new album “Kill it With Fire” and now its time to headback out on the road and break some necks. Our first gigs of the year will be supporting our friends Nervosa along with Frantic Amber on Nervosa’s “Northern Tour”. Methane and Frantic Amber will only be playing 2 nights here in Sweden, on Wednesday, April 5 @Platens in Linköping and Friday, April 7 @Broken Dreams in Borlänge. We are super stoked to meet up with Prika and the Nervosa crew again, last time we played some shows in Germany and The Netherlands way back in 2017 so this will be especially fun for us. See you in the pit!
Methane has confirmed tour dates in October and November on both sides of the Atlantic. The band will be kicking off a European leg in the Baltic region starting with a release party in hometown Borlange, Sweden continueing to Estonia and Riga in Latvia, as a warm to a North American tour with label mates Incarnit.
Methane will release it’s ‘Thin The Herd‘ single and music video on September 27 through Sweden’s Big Balls Productions. The release is the first from Methane since it’s debut album in 2017 ‘The Devil’s Own‘ , which was put out by Sony/Dark Star records.
Methane has built a reputation as a live band in the underground European metal scene playing with bands such as Nervosa , Warbringer and The Haunted. This is will be the second time the Swedish thrashers have been to the U.S., the first way back in 2014 when they did an East Coast mini tour that included The Rage of Armageddon Fest in Brooklyn NY. Methane is currently booking more dates in Europe for 2020

METALLSVENSKAN started in 2009 , combining metal and soccor. There you can see your favorite bands fight it out on the soccor field and on stage on the same day. The festival recently moved from Orebro, Sweden to Norrköping, Sweden after taking a 1 year hiatus.
February 21, 2018 we gave us off to Estonia from our rural town in the heart of Sweden. The weather was a typical mid-winter Scandinavian bone chilling cold. We packed up our “Tour Bus” a Renault station wagon and drove off twords Stockholm, where we would catch the ferry to Estonia. See all tourdates here
When we came to the port in Stockholm, we drove the Methane-mobile (which would become our cramped halfway house on wheels) on to the ship and found our room. The Baltic Sea was cold and full of ice that previous ships have broken, and like many times before we found ourselves on the 24 hour party boat on our way to metal clubs in a new country.
After a little celebrating on the boat we arrived in Tallinn around 10 AM, loaded our tired asses in to the car and drove off to meet up with our friends StoneSoul. We had played with StoneSoul before in Finland last year and have kept contact with DC and the guys ever since.

Then off to the first gig : Tartu, Estonia @ Underground. Where we would later meet up with our tour mates in INTACT. Undergound is a small basement club with a real “underground” feeling, setting the stage for a great 3 day tour.
Day 2: Valga, Estonia @ Rockiklubi. We woke up feeling like we deserved for partying with the bands and our new friends we met in Tartu, and made our way to Valga. Valga is a city divided by the borders of Estonia and Latvia. Rockiklubi had a feeling of being a squat, it was BYOB and spray paint on the walls. But an awesome crowd made for an awesome gig.
Day 3: Tallinn, Estonia @ Club Rockstar’s. Our last night was in INTACT’s home town and capitol of Estonia. THe 24th of February, the night we played, was also Estonia’s 100 year celebration. The city was in party mode. Rockstar’s looks and feels like a medievil dungeon which is fitting for the world’s most preserved medievil city Tallinn, built by the Tuetonic Knights and listed on UNESCO World Heritage preservation list.
Tallin was not good by just “see you again soon”. This March Intact will be here in Sweden playing a gig in Ludvika and and a show with METHANE in Mora at Lilla Helfvetet on 24 March. Its been a year since we played in Mora and can’t wait to come up again. Methane has confirmed to play the Northern Blasphemy Metal Fest in Stockholm Sweden, Saturday October 13th at Copperfield’s. Viking/Death Metal band, Havamal has also been announced for 8th annual episode of Northern Blasphemy with more bands to be announced.

The Southern groove metal quartet was spawned in late 2012 by TIM SCOTT (ex-REVENANT, ex-HATEPLOW) and his brother DYLAN CAMPBELL along with Tim’s long time friend JIMI MASTERBO The band has released its debut album “The Devil’s Own” on DARK STAR RECORDS in 2017.
METHANE has confirmed SLAKTFEST 4 in Östersund Sweden for Saturday, September 16. Slakt in Swedish means “Slaughter”. Slaughterfest 4 will take place at the Old Slaughterhouse in Östersund. This is METHANE’s first trip to Östersund, but not the first trip to Norrland where the band has headlined METAL INFERNO fest 2 times in Kramförs Sweden. We are stoked to get back up to northern Sweden! Slaktfest 4 is a 2 day event being held on September 15 and 16.
