Methane has confirmed tour dates in October and November on both sides of the Atlantic. The band will be kicking off a European leg in the Baltic region starting with a release party in hometown Borlange, Sweden continueing to Estonia and Riga in Latvia, as a warm to a North American tour with label mates Incarnit.

Methane will release it’s ‘Thin The Herd‘ single and music video on September 27 through Sweden’s Big Balls Productions. The release is the first from Methane since it’s debut album in 2017 ‘The Devil’s Own‘ , which was put out by Sony/Dark Star records.

Methane has built a reputation as a live band in the underground European metal scene playing with bands such as Nervosa , Warbringer and The Haunted. This is will be the second time the Swedish thrashers have been to the U.S., the first way back in 2014 when they did an East Coast mini tour that included The Rage of Armageddon Fest in Brooklyn NY. Methane is currently booking more dates in Europe for 2020

This February Sony/Dark Star Records metallers METHANE will be kicking off a new European assualt. Methane will be adventuring over the Baltic Sea to Estonia for 3 nights of groove metal along with Estonian metal band Intact and Finland’s StoneSoul. This leg of the band’s 2018 ‘Signed In Blood‘ tour will also mark the 1 year anniversay of the release of Methane’s ‘The Devil’s Own‘ album released on Sony’s DARK STAR RECORDS on February 17, 2017.

The Swedish metal band will continue the tour through Scandinavia and mainland Europe twords the end of winter 2018 and the tour will include some festivals as well.

According to Tim Scott (Bassist/Vocalist) the band is currently writing new material for it’s second album. ” The new stuff is thrashier, heavier and groovier, we are loving it. Olle (Ekman) has brought a new demension to the band and our writing. We haven’t lost that Southern Metal dynamic either. I am really excited to get back in the studio. But first things first, playing live is where it the monsters come to life and where my demons feel at home.”

Methane is a hard hitting, and unapologetic southern groove/thrash band formed in 2012 and based in Sweden. Members Tim Scott and Dylan Campbell moved from America to team with Jim Masterbo and Andreas Strom. Between 2014 and 2015, with the release of two EPs, two music videos, plus soundtrack credit on the Metalhedz mini series, and the first eNovel with music, Methane got noticed and subsequently signed by Dark Star/Sony Records in 2016. Methane’s debut album, “The Devil’s Own“, came out in February 2017 to positive reviews. After a successful tour season, and welcoming new drummer Olle Ekman, they are preparing to assault Europe again starting in Winter 2018. In the beging of August Swedish groove metal band Methane will be playing 2 showcases with Brazilian thrash metalers Nervosa. The band has recently released it’s debut album ‘The Devil’s Own‘ (Sony/Dark Star) . The band is joined by new drummer Olle Ekman, former lead singer of Deals Death.

Methane will be announcing a new Scandinavian tour soon for the fall including Norweigen and Swedish tour dates. Methane was formed in 2012 by ex Revenant (Nuclear Blast) and ex HatePlow (feat. Rob Barret of Cannibal Corpse) bassist Tim Scott. The band has toured in the U.S. and Scandinavia , has been featured on a number of compilation CDs and even on Scottish mini series Metalhedz.

Swedish groove metal band Methane has recently released it’s debut album ‘The Devil’s Own‘ (Sony/Dark Star) and now will be returning to Finland from June 1-3. The band is joined by new drummer Olle Ekman, former lead singer if Deals Death. In 2016 Methane was a guest of The Heavy Metal Heart Festival featuring Battle Beast.

“This is our third trip to Finland and we can’t wait to get back, I mean this is what we live for. Last time it was a little too much salmiakkikossu.” (*laughs) ” We’ll see what kind of trouble we can find this time around.” said Tim Scott
