On Thursday May 30 we will be playing at the Burning Run Festival hosted by Sin City Demons and Duck Hunters MC. Methane will play along with the German power metal band and Mighty Music recording artists EDGE OF EVER. The festival promises Viking games, live music and erotic attractions.
Joining Methane will be Markus Grune Grundström of Cryonic Temple on guitar as well as Finnish drummer Juusso Laukkanen from the band Intact.

With the abscence of founding member and guitarist Dylan Campbell, METHANE has filled stage right with CRYONIC TEMPLE’s Markus ‘Grune’ Grundstrom.
Early last winter METHANE guitar player Dylan Campbell was forced to move back to the United States for indefinate time. While Dylan is working out the red tape to come back to Sweden, METHANE has continued touring. This summer and fall METHANE will be playing some festivals and a few other choice shows and have brought in Markus Grundstrom for live duties.
Markus plays guitar in power metal stallwarts CRYONIC TEMPLE who are getting set to relesse thier 6th studio album to be released on Scarlet Records before setting off to tour Japan in August.

METHANE (groovemetal/thrashmetal) is now on tour in Europe supporting our The Devil’s Own Album released on Sony / Dark Star Records. With Eyes Wide Open (SWE) and Edge of Ever (DE) Tour Dates here. Methane has just completed its Baltic leg of the tour which included Finland, Sweden and Estonia and will be in continental Europe stating this Thursday in Hamburg Germany. the tour will last untill May 5 ending in Nijmegen, Netherlands. Methane has also recently confirmed a proformance at Metallsvenskan Festival in Sweden which will include WASP, Satyricon, Exodus and Entombed AD to name a few.

METALLSVENSKAN started in 2009 , combining metal and soccor. There you can see your favorite bands fight it out on the soccor field and on stage on the same day. The festival recently moved from Orebro, Sweden to Norrköping, Sweden after taking a 1 year hiatus.
February 21, 2018 we gave us off to Estonia from our rural town in the heart of Sweden. The weather was a typical mid-winter Scandinavian bone chilling cold. We packed up our “Tour Bus” a Renault station wagon and drove off twords Stockholm, where we would catch the ferry to Estonia. See all tourdates here
When we came to the port in Stockholm, we drove the Methane-mobile (which would become our cramped halfway house on wheels) on to the ship and found our room. The Baltic Sea was cold and full of ice that previous ships have broken, and like many times before we found ourselves on the 24 hour party boat on our way to metal clubs in a new country.
After a little celebrating on the boat we arrived in Tallinn around 10 AM, loaded our tired asses in to the car and drove off to meet up with our friends StoneSoul. We had played with StoneSoul before in Finland last year and have kept contact with DC and the guys ever since.

Then off to the first gig : Tartu, Estonia @ Underground. Where we would later meet up with our tour mates in INTACT. Undergound is a small basement club with a real “underground” feeling, setting the stage for a great 3 day tour.
Day 2: Valga, Estonia @ Rockiklubi. We woke up feeling like we deserved for partying with the bands and our new friends we met in Tartu, and made our way to Valga. Valga is a city divided by the borders of Estonia and Latvia. Rockiklubi had a feeling of being a squat, it was BYOB and spray paint on the walls. But an awesome crowd made for an awesome gig.
Day 3: Tallinn, Estonia @ Club Rockstar’s. Our last night was in INTACT’s home town and capitol of Estonia. THe 24th of February, the night we played, was also Estonia’s 100 year celebration. The city was in party mode. Rockstar’s looks and feels like a medievil dungeon which is fitting for the world’s most preserved medievil city Tallinn, built by the Tuetonic Knights and listed on UNESCO World Heritage preservation list.
Tallin was not good by just “see you again soon”. This March Intact will be here in Sweden playing a gig in Ludvika and and a show with METHANE in Mora at Lilla Helfvetet on 24 March. Its been a year since we played in Mora and can’t wait to come up again. Methane has just kicked off its Signed In Blood European Tour on February 2 in its hometown of Borlänge, Sweden and now is releasing dates for this winter and spring. The groove metal quartet will be starting off in Estonia with Estonian metallers Intact and Finlands Stonesoul. On the second leg of the tour, Methane will be supporting Sweden’s Eyes Wide Open in Finland, Sweden and being joined with Edge of Ever in Continental Europe. The Progress Begins Festival is a gathering of up-and-coming progressive and alternative Metal bands. It will take place for the first time in 2017 in the Maschinenhaus of the Kulturbrauerei in Berlin, Germany.

This February Sony/Dark Star Records metallers METHANE will be kicking off a new European assualt. Methane will be adventuring over the Baltic Sea to Estonia for 3 nights of groove metal along with Estonian metal band Intact and Finland’sStoneSoul. This leg of the band’s 2018 ‘Signed In Blood‘ tour will also mark the 1 year anniversay of the release of Methane’s ‘The Devil’s Own‘ album released on Sony’s DARK STAR RECORDS on February 17, 2017.

The Swedish metal band will continue the tour through Scandinavia and mainland Europe twords the end of winter 2018 and the tour will include some festivals as well.
According to Tim Scott (Bassist/Vocalist) the band is currently writing new material for it’s second album. ” The new stuff is thrashier, heavier and groovier, we are loving it. Olle (Ekman) has brought a new demension to the band and our writing. We haven’t lost that Southern Metal dynamic either. I am really excited to get back in the studio. But first things first, playing live is where it the monsters come to life and where my demons feel at home.”
Methane is a hard hitting, and unapologetic southern groove/thrash band formed in 2012 and based in Sweden. Members Tim Scott and Dylan Campbell moved from America to team with Jim Masterbo and Andreas Strom. Between 2014 and 2015, with the release of two EPs, two music videos, plus soundtrack credit on the Metalhedz mini series, and the first eNovel with music, Methane got noticed and subsequently signed by Dark Star/Sony Records in 2016. Methane’s debut album, “The Devil’s Own“, came out in February 2017 to positive reviews. After a successful tour season, and welcoming new drummer Olle Ekman, they are preparing to assault Europe again starting in Winter 2018. METHANE has confirmed SLAKTFEST 4 in Östersund Sweden for Saturday, September 16. Slakt in Swedish means “Slaughter”. Slaughterfest 4 will take place at the Old Slaughterhouse in Östersund. This is METHANE’s first trip to Östersund, but not the first trip to Norrland where the band has headlined METAL INFERNO fest 2 times in Kramförs Sweden. We are stoked to get back up to northern Sweden! Slaktfest 4 is a 2 day event being held on September 15 and 16.
